Abstract:

Lycastopsis catarractarum Feuerborn, 1931 is redescribed and a neotype designated. A full synonymy is given and all known records of the species are examined. Gut contents are analysed for two populations (Papua New Guinea and Fiji South Pacific Ocean) and the feeding biology and ecology are discussed.
